Every time I see a new snapshot of Kate’s latest look, I flip the f*** out. So, my main objective with this post is to see if I can cause my head to explode.

Why I’m obsessed w/ Princess Catherine:

- She unapologetically re-wears pieces she loves. The media keeps pointing it out and she keeps doing it. She’s simultaneously flipping off fashion judgement while being so incredibly poised and on-point. All.the.time. I have seen those nude pumps at least a dozen times and every time I notice she’s wearing them, I love her a little more.

- She does her own makeup, including for the wedding. A girl after my own heart, she just knows it’ll be better & easier to do it herself. Even though no one would fault her for using a makeup artist. She’s an effing princess, by the way.

- She’s undoubtedly given clothes and given suggestions, as well as forced to fit into a respectable royal standard. Despite all that, she still chooses what she wears and looks way way chicer and sexier than a lot of insanely rich people with all the fashion freedom in the world. She knows how to work within a boundary like no one else. 

- She manages to rock the latest trends, while remaining classic and timeless. In doing so, Kate teaches us a valuable style lesson: embrace trends, but don’t be a fashion victim. Implement trends that you like and flatter you, and do so sparingly. Keep classic pieces in your wardrobe, always. Wear them together. Try not to go gung-ho (head-to-toe) on any trend because in a trend’s true nature, it will fade quickly. Princess Kate proves she owns the trends, the trends don’t own her. Love it.
