With seven weddings to attend in the span of three months, I realized I have a fashion opportunity on my hands. I shall catalog the fancy looks I create. Because why not? Isn’t that the greatest response to something that you just feel like you need to do. “Why not?” Onward.

This will be a miniature version of the blogs devoted to daily looks. I promise I would never do that to you. While “those blogs” are definitely inspiring and fun to peruse, the sheer magnitude of creative looks every day leaves me with a sense of peer pressure and paralyzing anxiety. How does she have that many pairs of shoes/purses/skirts/everything? Where does the time & energy to manifest such amazingness come from? I wouldn’t dare impart that kind of stress upon your pretty little head, much less claim that I’m able to be that big of a fashion genius every day.

Because this idea came to me after wedding #1, I don’t have a fantastic shot of the first look.

There’s me and C, the Husband. Like I said, rough photo if we’re talking strictly outfit. It’s illustrated better in my Polyvore set:

Yes, I pre-plan looks for most events. Putting together a look (dress, shoes, accessories, hair, makeup and often times, a coordinating look for your date) requires a bit of thought & planning and nothing sucks the fun out of fashion for me like a stressful time crunch. If I have to do it quickly, I can make it happen. But it’s more enjoyable if it’s planned and I’m able to come up with far more creative looks.

And so, that’s Wedding Guest Look #1. Another wedding is on tap for this weekend, so expect the next installment soon!
